Ferrari FXX

The Ferrari FXX is a car developed as part of an unusual development program by automobile manufacturer Ferrari in Maranello, Italy. It began production in 2005.

The FXX uses some technology developed from the Enzo Ferrari and combines it with some all-new developments from Ferrari and some of the suppliers. However, the car is only a part of the overall program.

Essentially an evolution of the Enzo, the FXX shares some components with the Enzo, but significant portions are exclusive to the FXX.

Ferrari F1 EngineHaving announced the purchase of the Midland F1 team at the Italian Grand Prix, Spyker, the new owners, are now weighing up their engine options for 2007 and have placed Ferrari at the top of their list.

Spyker MF1, as the team is now known as, have several options available to them in 2007 with regards to who will power their cars, however, according to team boss Colin Kolles, Ferrari are at the top of their list as the team has several connections to the Italian outfit.

“There are still two or three options,” Kolles said.
