This unsavory term was first used by the English press who where probably pessimistic about the car’s uneasy features: a pointed nose, flat roofline and rear end that was very unlike any Ferrari. It was also a term that did little justice describe to one of fastest racecars from the early sixties.

New And Improved F430 Challenge Stradale

F430 Challenge StradaleOne of the many highlights at the Ferrari stand at the 61st Frankfurt Motor Show will be the world preview of the F430 Challenge, the 8-cylinder berlinetta-derived competition car that will be taking part in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli from the 2006 season.

Ferrari has reaffirmed the strong link between its GT and sporting divisions with the new F430 Challenge which is specifically designed to meet the expectations of its sportier clients. The F430 Challenge retains the same general look and 490 hp engine as the road-going version. However, it also incorporates a large number of significant track-oriented modifications and a ton of new features not yet seen in the car currently used in the series, the 360 Challenge, which it joins on the track next season and completely replaces in 2007.

2005 Ferrari GG50 ConceptGiorgetto Giugiaro marks 50 years of design with the 2005 Ferrari GG50 concept, Giugiaro decided to sculpture a Ferrari to the memory of that great adventure and enjoy it with his family. Giorgetto Giugiaro fashioned and commissioned a project that spilled into stretching horizons, in that he became concurrently – for the first time ever –supplier and customer of the new car.

The idea of creating a Ferrari to mark 50 years of activity in the world of car design took shape in September 2004 at the Paris Motorshow, where Giorgetto Giugiaro talked about this flight of fantasy directly with the President and CEO of Ferrari Luca di Montezemolo who cued the model around which the vehicle concept should be developed: the 612 Scaglietti 12 cylinders four-seater coupe.
