New York’s Ferrari Driving School Works To Prevent Drunk Driving

Ferrari CrashFerrari is creating a new program to help put a stop to drunk driving and to show just how dangerous and life threatening it can be. Michelangelo Pinto – the director of operations for the Ferrari Driving School in New York City – has created the “DUI Driving is not Kool” program to keep people more aware.

“A guy named Pinto representing a driving school named Ferrari on a national television program called ‘Happy Hour,’ taking place in a bar, speaks out against drunk driving on New Year’s Eve. With many writers for late night television on strike, this seems like the kind of item for a monologue. You cannot make something like this up,” said Pinto.

Ferrari Releases F2008

F2008Ferrari is getting a head start on the racing year and is starting things off with a bang by finally giving us a look at the new F2008. It’s number 54 of the single cock-pit car that the famous Italian manufacturer has launched since first becomming involved in motor-racing and it is codenamed 659 internally.

The major new features of Ferrari’s 2008 version F1 car are due to regulatory modficiations including the new Standard Electronic Control Unit (SECU) - an electronic system that all cars are obliged to use. Other areas affected by regulation changes are the gearbox, which must last four GPs, and safety elements regarding helmets.
