Hybrids are becoming a more popular vehicle for people to drive. The fact that they are safer for the environment is something that many people love about them. This love is shared by Formula One who has decided that only hybrids will be able to race starting in the 2009 season.
This new rule is being put into force by the FIA who stated that starting next year racers must drive hybrid cars in order to comply with the Kinetic Energy Recovery System. Formula One stated that it will take until 2013 before all of the changes from the new system to take effect – but it will start with the 2009 season.
