Ferrari 250 GTO Vintage Sold For $28.5 Million

A vintage Ferrari is a one of a kind supercar and something to be coveted. It is true that it might not have all of the nifty gadgets and technology that can be found in many cars in this day and age – but that is part of its charm.

Many people love the vintage exterior of the car that looks so graceful and classic that you wouldn’t want to change a thing. The same goes for the interior. It is classic and hopefully in pristine condition that you wouldn’t think of changing a thing. The only thing you might consider upgrading is the engine under the hood. After all more power cannot do any harm to a classic.

It seems that we are not the only ones who love a good vintage Ferrari. Many other people are making it clear that they are on the lookout for these same type of cars as shown by the record sale of the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder earlier in the year. It was also known when we watched the vintage Ferrari sell for a million dollars at the RM Auction in Monterey.

Yet, both of these incidents have been beat by the sale of a Ferrari 250 GTO – which is rumor is to be believed – has sold for $28.5 million. We don’t have all of the specifics of the sale because many of these type of sales are through private parties.
