Ferrari May Be Opening New Merchandise Store In Sydney

Ferrari StoreFerrari has had a Ferrari store and has been known for selling more than just the vehicles out of it. They have hoped that selling the different merchandise will help to promote their famous Ferrari vehicles. But that isn’t the half of it. They are preparing to open up a brand new store in Sydney, Australia.

By 2008, an extensive range of Ferrari merchandise including the usual caps, jackets and shirts - will be on sale in a dedicated Ferrari Store, most likely in Sydney. While a location hasn’t yet been confirmed, the Ferrari Store will be modeled on the popular Ferrari Store in the sports car specialist’s home town of Maranello, Italy.

The themed shop will offer all manner of quirky merchandise, including a replica Ferrari key (in case you can’t afford the real thing), child seats, deodorant and even an engine from a Ferrari Formula One car. The shop could even have a Formula One car as part of its display.

As with the original Ferrari Store, the local Ferrari shop will bring a price premium for a range of some of the most diverse merchandise from any automotive brand. But Ferrari Australia general manager Kevin Wall says high prices won’t diminish the appeal.

The cheapest item in the Ferrari Store in Maranello is a 6 Euro ($10) sticker. The most expensive is a 48,000 Euro ($80,000) engine from the 2000 Formula One race car. The shops are designed to appeal largely to people who can’t afford a Ferrari but wish that they could.
