Ferrari President Says “No” To Four-Door Models

The fact that Porsche, Aston Martin, and Lamborghini are producing four-door cars leads us to believe that Ferrari will jump on the supercar band wagon and follow in this rather unconventional path that they are taken. As Ferrari enthusiasts we couldn’t imagine having an exclusive supercar that had four doors to it. It would cease to hold the same value and style that Ferrari is famous for.

Today Luca di Montezemolo – Ferrari President – agreed with us and put his foot down when he stated that as long as he was still president of the company, “We will never do a four-door.” He is happy with the fact that they are able to produce some of the fastest sports cars and are happy to leave other automakers to their four-door concepts.

There are certain things that we know Ferrari will change about their cars. They are forced to follow the new environmental regulations that have been set up. During the Detroit Auto Show they showed off the F430 Spyder that was able to run on E85 ethanol. So while we will still be seeing dramatic changes (that we can live with) we can rest easy to know that we won’t be seeing changes that could affect the automaker in a negative way.
