Piero Ferrari Buys Stake In Pininfarina

Pininfarina LogoFor years Ferrari and Pininfarina have worked together on different projects – but now they are going to be closer than ever before. This week a report from Reuters stated that Piero Ferrari (son of Enzo) will be joining three other “prominent figures of the Italian automotive industry” - which include Alberto Bombassei (chairman of the Brembo brakes company), and Marsiaj family (the family that runs the Italian seatbelt manufacturer Sabelt).

The news of this change came shortly after Tata released their plans to place a 100 million euro stake in the company. This money will go to creating the new Pininfarina electric car that Bollore is helping to develop. It will also reduce the shares that the Pininfarina family has at this time.
