We have seen many scale Ferrari replicas in our time. Many if not all of them were impressive and required patience and much skill. However, none of them could have possibly required the amount of time and money that this F2008 replica – which was made out of chocolate!
Club Pasticceri Italiani made the replica racing car for a Ferrari owners club in Naples, Italy. The confectioners began to melt the chocolate that they would need back in 2007 and built a smaller model to practice on. $23,000, 4,405 lbs of Belgian chocolate, and one year later they finally finished.
The Ferrari cake turned out to be lifelike, colorful, and more delicious looking than the real thing. Unfortunately the whole thing will be eaten this weekend as dozens of Ferrari owners will dig in and enjoy it.
